Seat Buttons not functioning

Hey so it's me again.
I have another question about both the drivers and passengers seat buttons. When I move the bottom seat position they work intermittently. For example if I want to move my seat bottom backwards. it goes backwards for a little bit then it goes forward. And the only way to get it to go backward is to push the preset buttons. This is the same with the passenger buttons too. Also I was cleaning my seats one time and raised my passenger seat head rest and now it won't lower. I want to be able to use my power seat buttons but they never work. Is there a way to clean the switches or is replacing my only option. I'm trying to find the most economical way.
Thank you for the help.

I can afford switches I was just wondering if there was a way to clean them without having to replace them.

check out the FAQ here....head to 'seat troubleshooting' and 'seat switch' links.
perhaps something there will help get you closer to the solution.
