AC ISSUE
Hello,
I have a E320 2000 and the AC stop running cold or even cool. I put two 12 ounce cans of R134a. The second can blew slightly cold but that soon stopped. There are no codes on the diagnostics. I do have a bar reading of 8. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you for those that may reply.

Out Of Control!!
Should be 15-17bar!!----you either have a bad compressor or you are still way low on refrigerant----if you are low that also means that you have a huge leak!!

Update
We cleaned the duovalve today but it did not appear that dirty. Once that was done cold cold air blew for about 20 to 30 seconds and stopped. I thought it was fist and then light a leaded balloon I was brought back to Earth. I ran the test again, no default codes. I ran the checks on the system and the bar ran 7 and then on a run of the car it tested 8. At one point on the drive the temperature again dropped from 90 degrees to 70 when settings where at 68 degrees. Again, soon after, the cabin temperature increased and I just parked the car. At one point last night the bars when went to 9. I don't recall if it was engine on or off or driving..The bars are not following below 7 so is it just low even after putting 2 cans of 134a at 12 oz. a piece in the system? I have read where the bars would not go up if there was a leak but mine will move one or two notches up. Everything else seems to work find, including the heater but this was me rather perplexed after cleaning the duovalve and having no default codes. The compressor does engage so that isn't an issue either. I do not have gauges and after 2 cans I don't want to just put another can in and damage the compressor. I am perplexed. Any mechanic or specialist out there could point me in the right direction would be great. And Plutoe, thank you for your response too. Thanks!
