high temperature due to aircond
i have this problem with my w210 e200 year 1997.
my car temperature increases to 110 degree celcius during slow drive or during stuck in traffic. i had tried changing the water , changed the fan and it is still the same.
however i noticed a new thing. i had aircond problem before this issue . i was told that my aircond mechanic changed the aircond compressor to a manual electronic controller as he said my aircond panel is spoil.
i had then decided to remove the panel switch n to my surprise once removing the switch the engine fan increase in speed and the temperature drops. Is there something wrong with my aircond switch or any other problem. i am confused
sorry for troubling you with a long message
hope you could help me out

Out Of Control!!
I am somewhat confused with your problem----are you saying that unknown to you a mechanic bypassed the AC control module and hot wired the compressor to a dash switch and it is that switch that you use to turn on the AC------however it is that switch that you later removed------if the AC control module was reconnected, simply go to the stickies and run the fault test------what faults do you get---if you can't or won't do that go to a shop that will and post the faults!!

hi plutoe, yes my mechanic bypassed the AC control module and hot wired the compressor to a dash switch to control the ac.. however the control module is still there to control the blower speed . upon removing the control switch my fan runs perfect and the temperature drops.
