Humidity and Temperature Gauge, ugh
Hi guys, I had posted on here before but my account couldn't be accessed so I made a new one. This board is so helpful!
Ok here is the deal: I have a 1997 E320 which was doing just fine when I bought it in the crazy-hot desert of Palm Springs and was driving it all over the valley in 120 degree weather. I just drove it to Minnesota where I recently moved (I topped off fluids before leaving of course) and now when I'm idling (stuck in traffic for any length of time) it starts to run hot. A friend said this is due to the humidity. Is that true? What should I do? Is there anything else it could be?
I put in a little more rad fluid this morning but just what was left in the bottle I bought, so it wasn't much. Fluid looked a little low but there was no leak present.

Out Of Control!!
If you recall your physics humid air is more dense that dry air---and we all know that this is all relative---well any way humid air has more capacity to absorb heat---therefore you and your buddy have a conundrum.
The other interesting point is that the correct fluid color is not red. It is more clear\yellow.
In any event have your thermostat checked; use the correct fluid and have your cooling system flushed---enjoy the winters!!
