Smile 01 E320 Wagon Hatch Light Switch & interior trim

Hello boys and girls,

It's been AGES since I last posted. Went a few years without any three pointed star vehicles, and recently bought three. An '01 320 rwd wagon, a '00 320 4matic sedan, and a '95 E320 Sportline (near mint low miler). They're all in damn brilliant shape, but like any used car, I have a laundry list of things I'd like to sort or upgrade.

My first question is about the rear hatch on the '01 wagon. For some reason, despite the hatch being open, the interior lights shut off. I'm thinking it's a faulty switch, but for the life of me, I can not find the bugger around the perimeter of the opening, slam panel, or hatch itself. What gives? Where is the light switch for the rear hatch located?

The second question is about where to source interior trim pieces for W210s? I need outer sill caps for both the front and rear in java. The inner caps are in good shape, but the outers are cracked and one is missing all together. It appears they're held in place by three push clips. Will probably need to replace those too. Also, I need a new driver's side door handle/ pull. The leather has come delaminated from the grip.

Lastly, any good sources for exhausts out there? The 4matic has a very noisy cat. Thinking of pulling the whole system and replacing. Any intel on the "universal fit" components that are all over ebay?

Glad to be back!

Cheers,

Aaron

Answer to Q1---The PSE controls the on\off of the rear hatch lamp--it is also fused(see F4 in rear fusebox)!!

Answer to Q2--The trim parts are cheap use a dealer or after buying three cars you don't have a PTPI find a local bone yard!!

Answer to Q3--no suggestion I enjoy the pimpy sound of the older cars!!
