2001 E430 strange missfire, need help/info

Problem started about a month ago.
Code P0303 missfire on cylinder #3
Swap coils #3 and #1, clear code, go for drive, all good.
Week later, code P0303, missfire on #3 again.
Change all 16 plugs about 6 months ago, used Bosch platinum plugs.
There was no CEL before, I changed the plugs just because it was time.

When CEL comes on, car shakes badly under all load conditions.
When I clear the code miss goes away.
CEL comes back at random intervals.
Every time CEL comes on, car has a bad skip.
Every time I clear the code (I carry the scanner with me now) the skip goes away. Comes back again, no specific time or mileage, just whenever.

Every time, code P0303.
Please help, this is driving me nuts.

Also, to be clear (as I found different information online) which cylinder is #3?
I assumed it is on the passenger side, third one from the front, that was based on a few threads that read when I did a google search. Is this correct?
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
front of car

Update:
Changed spark plug wires with OE Bosch 1000 miles ago, no more issues.
