Question E320 m112 no spark 1998

Decided to register here to see if any gurus knows what might be my problems with the M112 engine.

its 1998 model e320 4matic

it has no spark on cyl 5 and cyl 6, weak spark in cyl 4 (no random misfire), but runs and starts.
1. changed all the spark plugs with OEM
2. new coils
3. new spark plug wires
4. new maf
5. Ohm tested all the wirings for them
6, checked the K40 relay box
7. got the wiring diagram and went over it couple of times to see if it matched up perfectly and all the wirings worked.
8. swapped the working coils and wires from working cyl problem didn't move
9. swapped the injectors
10. cleaned and changed filters in the injector
11. cleaned the fuel rail
12. cleaned out the cats
13. compression tested
14. opened up the ecu and it looked like new

and more...

tried a lot of things with no luck, everything OEM from the dealership.

I just recently bought the car and this problem was included in it... trying to figure it out while I work the front end for painting.

Anyone had similar problem (no spark on cyl 5 and 6 with weak 4 cyl spark, but cranks up without any other problems)?

Very strange indeed--if like you say there is no spark on 5 or 6 and you have stated there are new plugs\wires and coils in 5 and 6(not used or reconditioned) then although you looked at the ECU, the ECU is the only place on your engine that provides voltage to the coils--the ECU is bad.

Regarding the weak number 4, again assuming the coils are new, and remembering that the coils for 5 and 6 are different than for 4----you have a bad\weak coil or the ECU is not suplying the correct voltage to the coil.

The good news is that through you rigorous trial and error you have learned much about your engine and if any thing you will learn that looks means nothing!!

thanks for the reply, yeah its been an experience :P

No check engine in the cluster, So I'm hoping that I've already fixed the problem, but its still there since I haven't driven it since... If it doesn't work I will hook it up to xentry and read all the codes and clear the stored error codes.

I was told that the ecu in these cars are nearly bullet proof and really hard to make them fail, thats why I went over all the wiring diagram to see if someone switched wire

Again I am dumbfounded--if you had voltage at the 5 and 6 coil and no spark at the plug then it's most likely a coil, however that is not what you reported---then you say you have two cylinders not firing and no CEL---you may have the first perpetual motion engine, but if not so, than I would suspect a failure in a bullet proof ECU---never the less most folks will respond based upon the data(symptoms) expressed by the OP--or maybe your test program is suspect

I made a quick test with the xentry star diagnose

the codes I got were
P0300-080 (Misfiring Damages TWC)
P1177 (Component B40 Oil sensor, oil temperature implausible)
P0306-084 (Misfiring of cylinder 6 Damages TWC)
P0305-086 (Misfiring of cylinder 5 Damages TWC)

No other codes for the ME2-SFI - motor electronics 2 unit

There are no catalysts in the car anymore, So im wondering do I need to teach the computer the new values of the exhaust system?

Ran also compression test through the xentry all cylinders are near equal.

Did try the smooth running actuation, didn't have enough time to finding out exactly how its supposed to work but could see the values for cylinders 5&6 were over the value.

couldn't arrange them better, but here are the readings for the P0300-080 code
