E230 classic 1997 windows

all windows worked perfectly in my E 230 until I had a trade person replace the old interior roof lining. from that point the windows ceased to function and my side mirrors are not operational either. I have checked fuses (well the ones I think control unit) seem fine
what should i do to fix this problem

In MY97 there were some changes to the control of the windows early cars had a multi function control module--others had the lower control module---regardless there is nothing above the roof lining that interacts with the control of the power windows(ground or otherwise)---

My suggestion is go back to the tradsman and ask him to try and detail what he disconnected.

You may also want to look at the rear fuse number 1 and 2

Plutoe - Thanks you for reply information..
I did get the trades person back to retrace his work.seemed to be all ok. he checked fuses they were all ok. As he only had the roof console detached to fit roof traced wires to make sure he had not short circuit any wiring in the roof
