Convert Xenon to Halogen
Hi all.I did a search but could not find an answer to this specific question. I have a 1998 E430 with over 300,000 miles. The problem is with the xenon headlights. Both ballasts are bad ( verified by borrowing a good ballast) I've tried ordering a couple of used ballasts from ebay, big mistake. Were supposed to have been tested. Yea, right. I don't want to buy new ballasts because the car has other problems; hail damage, non-working sun roof, headliner coming loose, etc. I just need to keep it going for a while longer until we upgrade to a S series. I can get a set of halogen assy cheap, 1/10 the cost of a single ballast. Will they install if I replace the headlight trim with the non-washer parts and replace the plugs on the wiring harness? Thanks

The plug for the wiring harness is the same as far as I recall and you should not have the remove the headlight washers or change the trim under the lights.
