Break Lights

Hi all. I have a 2002 E320. Was attempting to change left brake bulb and twisted the bulb in the hole poorly. Started vehicle and ABS/ESP lights lit up. Went back to the bulb and after some fuss I got the bulb out and put back in correctly. No tail lights. Replaced blown tail light fuse and new fuse remains good now. No tail lights. Replaced the switch now and still no brake lights and ABS/ESP lights won't go out. No cruise control either. Any ideas or help? Please?

Did you break your brake lights, or were they already broken.

The left brake light was out. The right light was fine before all this happened.

The warning lights, no brake lights, and no cruise control, sounds like a brake light switch problem. I know you replaced it, but it still must have some problem. Do you have the old switch? If so, I would put it back in, as I don't think it was the problem originally. Did you use a genuine MB switch? I have heard of folks having problems with aftermarket switches. Double check that the fuse is inserted properly.

Thanks... Ironically, I needed the car asap so I finally took it into MB who said it was the brake switch and had to order it... Didn't have it. Will take two days... so I wait to see if they fix it...
