I discovered a vacuum leak at the "distributor" behind the right footwell. Also the recirc element and right refrost flap elements are blown. Replacing the recirc actuator doesn't look too bad but right defrost flap one looks dicey. Is it possible to do this one without pulling the whole dash? Thanks again!

Out Of Control!!
Nope---Out with the dash, however there is a spammer over at Ben's Wurld that says he does it in fifteen minutes, it's kinda like his diesel bubble theory!!

I too have developed a strange AC issue. 1998 E320. I have cool air on the passenger side and warm-ish air on the driver side. I pulled the duovalve apart and it was clean as a whistle. I cleaned the electrical contacts and put it back together. Temp goes from warm/ambient (on the drivers side) to ludicrously hot when I adjust from LO to HI so the duovalve definitely seems to be functioning properly.
No DTC codes, the compressor is running and the electric fans are working.
Values

At noon
After a 5 minute drive and with the AC on and fan on high
Other than low refrigerant, anything look blatantly obvious? If not the duovalve perhaps its vacuum or the AC charge contains too much gas vs liquid?
