E320 4Matic Wagon Front Diff Oil/Transfer Case???

Hello All,
Looking through the owners manual for the front differential service, I don't see any specific weight specified. It specifies for the rear, but the front it just says to use Mercedes fluid. Is it safe to use the same fluid as the rear diff in the front, or do you have to buy the stealership fluid?? Also for the transfer case, is there any advantage to using transfer case fluid vs. regular tranny fluid??? Thanks!!

You do that kind of job once every 10 years or longer.
Do you really hesitate to spend 5 bucks more and buy MB fluid?
Front differential has no drain plug, so you will be mixing old and new fluids at high ratio.
Different oils don't like mixing.

I too would like to know what fluid is appropriate as I am about to drain and refill both diffs and tc. Not interested in using MB fluids.
