Scan tool
Hello everyone. I have a 98 MB E320. I replaced the trainsmission in it but I need to purchase a scan tool to take the transmission code off of it. So it will shift out of second Gear. Please advise on the best and most affordable scan to to purchase.

Out Of Control!!
You need diagnostic software that equals MB's DAS---do a google search,however watch out for those sites that tell you to take fan blades off to clear the codes!!
PS: make sure that who ever you choose confirms that MB transmission faults can be cleared,else you will be back whining!!
PSS:If the transmission was not an exact match(same part number) you are going to need more than fault removal---you will probably also need adaption--that you ain't going to do on a Billy Bob scanner.
