lost fob- steering lock?

I lost my key fob. I've ordered a new one.

Is there a way to release the steering lock without the electronic key?

the car is parked nose first in my spot, need two tow trucks to get it out
Its a 4matic so a deck truck can't get into where it is if I can roll it out then I can save $100 on needing the second tow truck .

Steering lock or shifter lock?

You can pull the shifter boot up and release the shifter lock, which will let you roll the car back. Steering lock, not so much. Those are designed to be secure and not easily bypassed, as it's an anti-theft component.

The towing company who knows something about Mercedes towing will come with freewheeling adapter.
Wheel dollies work as well.
But dealers overnight new keys, so you can have one in 2 days. Suppose lately dealers need to see the car before handing the new key, but technician coming to the parking might still be cheaper than towing the car to the dealer.

I'm 160km from the nearest dealership. Keys take a week to arrive, I need myself, my photo ID, original dealer delivery card and the physical car present prior to cutting the key

FYI blank FOB is $330CAD, laser cut is $90CAD and programing is $30..

Keys in US were $180 couple years ago when I bought one and overnight shipping works.
I wonder what logic you used having only 1 key when living 160 km from dealer?
What would you do if you loose the knob on your vacations 500 km from a dealer?
Rare occurrence, but keys die as well.
