Check Engine Gone!!!!! :)
I Recently Purchased a 1997 Mercedes E420 (W210)
When i purchased the car it had a check engine but it ran smooth as butter.
The Previous owner said it was a possible sensor MAF
I Went to Pepboys for the Free Code Scan Came Back P0173 Bank 2
I Researched the code and it said posssible vacume leak/MaF/O2sensor?
I went under the hood and notticed a Vacume Hoes was completley disconected So i connected it (Check Engine Still On)
Theres one more message on Dash Check Engine Electronics/Light Malfunction Yes my running light bulb h6 was out
So i Go to MB Dealer near me purchase the Bulb for $10
Throw it on and boom Check Engine Gone Babby
Hope this may help others with Simmilar problem im so releived it wasnt Major Money to fix these things

The computer will clear CEL once the problem is no longer active and some driving cycles are done.
Sometimes it takes 7 restarts, sometimes more driving, but the code is still stored in car memory till you clear it.
When I scan my perfectly running car, it had over 30 stored codes.
Some of them come from battery running low, some who knows where from.
If you have scanner, it is good idea to clear them all, so when problem arrives, you don't have to figure out what code applies.
