Mercedes E290TD W210 - dash stays on

Just joined this forum, hopefully someone here can help.

When I turn the key off the dash stays on, its also flashing rapidly so this seems really weird to mee. The problem is before the fuse I guess, since the dash turns off with the fuse taken out.

Then I have the ABS light on, ideas on that? Also ASR + BAS lights are on, the car drives fine but these are the problems I have.

well ok, the heat control doesn't seem to be working either, now and then it changes temperature when Im spinning the heat control..

W210s seem to have the weirdest electrical gremlins... worse than my Lada

Regarding the cluster staying on----you have issues with your front SAM

Regarding the ABS,ASR and BAS lights that could be loads of things(wheel speed sensors to control modules) to guess at---don't guess get the car scanned and you will learn the issues, then you fix the issues!!

I was going to scan it anyhow, but I just assumed a scan wouldn't reveal anything through the OBD outlet, probably need to go to a MB dealer to get it scanned with a Diagnostic Star or what they are called which will probably get expensive, also my friend has a newer (2002) 220cdi and today whilst we were driving the ASR/BAS came on and dissappeared after restarting the car, weird...
