new to MB with a 2001 E430

hey fellow MB owners just picked up a 2001 E430 its my first Benz ever
it was one code its a p0743 (torque converter clutch electrical)
car drives very well but would like to get that taken care off, any help or direction of answers would be great! thanks

Please read thru this thread - NO - you're "scanner" can't clear the code - and in your case I suspect the original code was from the adapter plug... hoep you used genuine MB/Mopar on that $12 plastic connector:

update not to much information on this exact fault p0743, replaced the conductor plate and the trans connector, car is at MB right now to get the codes cleared will update

Congrats, I would have searched for a well appointed 2000 or 2001 if I wanted a gas model - good luck with it.

update for fault po743, after replacing the conductor plate trans connector and solenoid y36y6 on conductor plate. when the benz yesterday and asked to get the car scanned and fault deleted if possible. long story short fault is still present and they are now taking a look at it again. does anyone have the wiring diagram/ location to where the wires run? thinking its a possible wiring short.
