W210/S210 AMG Wheels Offset Compatibility Question
Hello All,
Will an AMG 18 inch wheel with Front ET of 44, 18x8.5 while the rear, ET of 46 18x9.5 fit on our S210/W210s?
Wheels are coming off of 2004 S500 AMG.
In other words, will these be a direct fit or would I require some sort of a spacer and/or modification which is what I'm trying to avoid?
Thanks!!!

well, that will be up to your eyeballs. if the OE wheels are ET35 the wheel you
are eyeing will add another 10mm inboard. will it clear all the suspension parts
of your car? only you can tell for sure as each car may vary in clearance when
approaching the maximum specs due to springs, spring pads, shocks, lowering
modifications by the owner, clearance variations within the 210 model line etc
another factor people may overlook is the exact make/model tire they've elected
to pair with the wheels. that, too, can determine whether the combination will
be a deal breaker or not.
the front fitment will always be pickier than the rears
afterthought: it is likely that the ball seat of the S wheels will be larger than
that on 210 wheels. the only way around this is to continue using your 210
lug bolts with the larger ball seat rims (poor surface mating/contact) or to
seek hybrid bolts which have 12mm bolt diameter and 14 radius ball seat

You will need spacers for the front
Hi there,
I purchased a set of W220 AMG wheels and tried to fit them to my W210 E55 and I needed to buy spacers and longer wheels bolts.
I will check the exact sizes when I get home.

You will need a spacer and for tires 245s probably wont fit without rubbing the fender (if your car is lowered) or the bolt on the upper control arm
On my old 4matic I ran 18x8.5 et38 wheels with a 10mm spacer but the wheels were almost poking out past the fender with 245s. The pic below is et38 with a 5mm spacer and 245 tires. An et 44 will poke a little bit more.
