Bluetooth Kit for '04 E class

Is it easy to get Bluetooth installed in a 2004 E320?

Has anyone here done it? Where and how much?

Blue tooth...

Umn, its very easy in the case that your 04 is equipped with UHI (universal handy interface) which i dont beleive it is. In the case that it isnt, its very complicated, and costly. Alot of work is needed, including installation and programming. All of which are in the trunk. of the UHI into the optical ring. Ive only installed it on a CLS 06'. Same chassis tho, im pretty sure the same rules apply.

Have your car has V60 phone kit yet ? If yes, you can go to Dealer to ask them for Bluetooth kit around $350 Or you can find out that kit on Ebay for cheaper. That's very easy to install. ( should be V60 phone kit already installed to your car)

Part Number

It is very easy to install the phone bluetooth kit, you just plug it like the normal phone:

the part number is: B 67875839 for the USA
for Europe and middle east the part number is: B 67875838

you can also install an IPOD kit the part number is: B 67824202 then you can plug your ipod in the car and use the car controls to navigate through the ipod.

There is no phone in the car currently. How do I check whether the v60 kit is there or not?

My car was manufactured in April 2004.

In the middle consol, if there is a cradle there for a phone, then you just need to buy the bluetooth puck. Part number is stated above. If you do not have a cradle more likely then none you do not have the phone set up. Then you will have to go the UHI route. Cost $$ tho....

Umm, actually the UHI system is European spec. Being a US spec car, it would need the MHI system for the Bluetooth module to work. If you have the MHI system, you can buy the Bluetooth puck from http://www.wireless4mb.com/.

You will need a complete installatin kit.I cant remeber the the A*** but your dealer should know.It containes a compensator, adapter cable, cradle, holder, short cable. Then you will need a bluetooth adapter(PUCK) , installation guide,(if you decide to do it by yourself which is pretty easy),and you mostlike have to reconfigure your fiberoptic ring by MB.
I got my stuff from www.mbdoctor.com
Good luck!
