Hi there,

Why is the Transmission Module (A0355450432) leaking oil in the front passenger footwell below the footrest?
Is it normal (the oil in the module)?
What would be its purpose (the oil in the module)?

Does anyone know?

The transmission pilot bushings are famous for leaks when they reach 10 years old mark and the fluid with capillary effect travels up the wire harness down to computer box.
Get 2-3 cans of MAF cleaner, new bushing, some ATF and replace the bushing.
If you haven't done so, changing ATF might be in order.

One more very important question though.

I am STILL having problem with narrowing down the constant ABS lamp on and intermittent ESP not working problems.

Question: Would that oil in the transmission module have ANY affect/influence on my ABS/ESP problem?

Please help.

Not likely, but I can only wonder if ABS module is next to TCM in the coffin.

No, it is not. Many, many, "obstacles" between them.

module located in sam location depending on sbc or not. However you could just have a wheel speed sensor dropping out at times. very common problem.

I started from checking all of the wheel speed sensors. I removed, cleaned (with a tooth brush, Q-tips and compressed air), and put each and every one back in.

I've been monitoring telemetry of ETC (Automatic Transmission) control unit in DAS while vehicle is in D & specifically tuning into 2 RPM speed-sensors located on top & in front of valve body... Y3/6n2 & Y3/6n3 in StarFinder. I have observed Y3/6n3's signal dropping it's telemetry once gear 5 is reached in DAS on my car. I had an interruption of ABS/ESP availability recently which took cruise-control offline so I'm trying to track that down as it set a DTC when it happened but I forgot to make a note of it before erasing it to get cc back online as I was on a time-sensitive roadtrip that couldn't be delayed for DTCs at that time. DTC has not recurred & Y3/6n3 quickly comes back online when vehicle downshifts from 5 from what I've observed so far. I would imagine ESP would become unavailable if both were to drop out & possibly even limp mode & DTCs as well but I'll need to observe more telemetry streams to get better understanding of these components' characteristics & idiosyncrasies. I've seen a youtube video posted by about issues discovered by OP to stay on-topic.

"Hi Everyone! I have recently purchased a 2006 MB E350 4Matic Sedan W211. The orange ABS lamp is “on” all the time. Also, sometimes an ESP error message shows up in the round multifunction display (speedometer) reminding me to have it checked in the garage. I ran the scan with the i980 iCarsoft scanner. It showed a couple of errors as follows: 1. 4C32 Check B24/15 (Rotary speed and lateral acceleration sensor). 2. 9450 B31 (C-ACC multifunction sensor). I took my time and did all four wheels. I removed each speed sensor, cleaned it thoroughly with a tooth brush and many Q-tips. Also, I cleaned the cylindrical holes with the compressed air, Brake cleaner and Q-tips. Yes, all four of them. I ran the scan again. No change. The ABS lamp is still “on”. It seems to me ..."

You are not blind but definitely a new pair of glasses would be helpful.

Any advice? I still have not found the solution for this persistent problem.

Time to pull codes using MB DAS, possibility SBC unit may be malfunctioning.

For the 2nd time in as many weeks, my car (2005 CLS500...722.9, I know this is a 211 forum, but the 219 forum is all but dead...sorry..) did not move when put into Drive or Reverse.
Revs, but no movement.

When I started her, I did get an ESP warning, a runflat indicator inoperative and a Service Brake visit Workshop warning...don't know if they are co-related..?

Put her off for 2 minutes, started again, and all was well.

I did do about 3.5 hours of driving in heavy traffic today and to think of it, the other time it happened, the car was used extensively also.

However, this morning, same thing, after being left over night.

No jerkiness, no bumps, thuds, just creamy smooth changes...
what could this possibly be?
I have read through many, many threads, but nothing definitive or conclusive..

Help...please....

The symptoms are related when they pop due to low voltage.
How old are alternator brushes?
I would keep an eye on car voltage.

Would the transmission issue be related to the car's voltage?

When car runs at low voltage, all kind of havoc can happen.
From the experience, ABS, BAS and ESP are the first to start having voltage problems, but that can change without notice.

I was really dragging my thoughts and feet to go to the only stealership in this city. The way they treat you there... I don't have to say more.

I think that I exhausted all of my options. I will need that powerful tool to pinpoint the problem.

I actually just bought one.
I could not keep relying on an independent or stealer to keep "blessing" me with their help and then lopping off limbs for the favor.
