Sirius Satellite presets

I just leased a 2008 E350 with P2, and Sport 333 packages. I have the steering wheel contols set to scroll through the preset audio channels and this works fine when on the AM or FM bands. However when I switch to satellite radio, the steering wheel controls won't run through the preset satellite channels, they run through all the channels. Anyone else have this problem, is there a fix?

That's how it works pretty much, I don't think you can scroll through the presets for Sirius with a steering wheel controls. And welcome. Btw, searching helps answer most of your questions here.

Thanks, I'll definitely search next time. Its unfortunate that this isn't a feature as all I listen to is Sirius.

So do I, but it doesn't bother me -- what I do is program 1 channel from a category, let's say Hip-Hop and then use up/down to scroll through all the channels in that category. Got used to doing that so it's not a big deal... I'm a lot more annoyed with a missing one-touch close feature for the pano roof.

Yeah, that annoys me as well, along with no power folding side mirrors and no reverse tilt down on the passenger mirror. MY 2006 BMW 330i that I just got rid of had all of this. Oh well, other than these issues I love the car.

I go the simple route, I guess. I had a Sportster 4 installed and use the remote. I hadn't touched the actual radio in over a month....

The new 2009 BlueTEC Command

My 2009 BlueTEC with the new Command can store presets and can be scrolled using the steering wheel, but can only store ten presets!

Sweet car!

Maybe I should have explained in more detail

Maybe I missed the question, but on the new Command system, the presets work on AM/FM and satellite channel presets too - with the steering wheel controls.

You can get the mirror tilt down feature activated by the dealer next time your car is in for service. I had them do this before the car was delivered to me. They had never done it before, but they were able to do it.

That may be so on a 2009, but not the case for 2008s.

You can go to "Settings" and set the AM/FM Radio to scan by presets OR next receiveable station when using the steering wheel arrows, but on the '07 it will only scan next receiveable SAT channel when listening to SAT radio.

You can scroll, but the method of scrolling is not selectable in SAT.

Ditto for 2008s. Makes no sense. If you selected presets instead of next receivable station for AM/FM, there's no reason you wouldn't want that for Sat as well.

SAT Radio is a Continental US/(Parts of) Canada option only, and the SAT unit itself is a separate component in the trunk, so its pretty much a PITA afterthought for MB Germany... SAT doesn't respond to any Voice comands either.
