Turn Signal out?
My left front turn signal is out on my 2003 E500 Sport. I've replaced the bulb & checked for bad bulbs, but had no luck. Could the turn signal relay only work on the rear? I always thought once a relay goes bad, both front & rear fail. Any thoughts on how to repair? Does the car have a module for turn signals?

This may be due to inadequate electrical contact between the turn signal bulb socket and the headlamp housing. Mention DTB P-B-82.10/258c SEPT06 for repair. DIY, PM your email address and I will send a copy of the DTB (includes repair procedure) for which you will need repair kit part #A2038260282 - 28.50 list / 23 net.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Wonder if this melting problem occurs because MBUSA installs "merikun" bulbs.
Because it's the way I am, I obtained sockets to fit the 120-degree pin Euro bulbs. No problems so far.

This appears to be the same problem I am having with my 2003 C240. The dealer said there were no known problems with turn signals and would do an exploratory search for the problem. Can you send me the DTB please - cjbjmr@comcast.net. Thanks.

Thanks
Unfortunately the attached pictures are not viewable, can they be reposted.
Secondly, is there an easy way to release the pins from spade contact connector. Perhaps the pictures would make it self evident.
Thanks!

W211 turn signal repair
Thanks for the information. But I am stuck at #5. I am not sure exactly how to open the lock to release the turn-signal wire. Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking that if I push down the middle piece on the connector it would pop out but not luck.
Thanks,
Thanks,
