I truly was used only very sparingly by a little old lady who only drove to the beauty salon and church in a small town in Tennessee. I bought it from her heirs about 3 weeks ago with 17,271 miles. It had a fresh Mobil 1 oil change just prior to my purchase. The original 9 year old Michelin Pilot tires showed good tread but they were hard as a rock. I changed those out for a set of Continental Extreme Contact all season tires, changed out the air & cabin filters, and now I'm driving what looks and feels like a brand new car. I need to do a brake fluid flush when the weather warms up a bit, and maybe get an updated nav disk.

I would also change the driveline fluids since I doubt it ever got hot enough to evaporate off any condensation.

Congrats on a great find.

Wouldn't this be a 2006 as the the 320 was standard in 2005? Regardless great find on a low mileage W211!!

2006 w211 e350 Sport
1) 2006 e350 sport
2) Around 175K miles
3) Other than basic wear and tear my girl hasnt given me anything so far.
The transmission though was replaced for free by mercedes at around 70k miles

I'm not too sure entirely on the details but for members who have a 06 and below who have less than 80k miles, if you have transmission problems and need work done be sure to take it to the dealership first. There was a recall on the transmission for w211s and mercedes should replace the transmission with an updated unit free of charge.
Again I'm not too entirely sure on the details but I'd just like to mention this incase some of the members dont know it.

***Wife's car
•2005
•E500
•Black
•w/231k
~only real problem over the last 5 yrs, rear passenger side was sagging, replaced rear passenger side airbag. Car runs great.

***My car

~Recently had the SBC pump fail. Have not replaced as of yet......of course it's passed the 10yr/unlimited mile warranty for the pump!
Funny thing is, my wife's "05" E500 with over 200k, still has original SBC pump, go figure.

Love the W211

W211 - 2003
2003 E320 - 72k here.

I've done nothing on it so far, but I've only had it a couple months now. Aside from oil changes in the past, it's had multiple transmission mounts replaced and that's about it. Due to the age, I'm just awaiting an SBC issue

2006 E350
Well, this is my 2nd post in this thread...had an '07 E550 Sport...then I got divorced about a year later and it was in her name...now I've got -

2006 E350
43k
Had it just over a year (38k when I bought it) and just recently had to replace the fuel pump (gas smell in car, was hard to start if it sat a few days).

Getting ready to have brake fluid and transmission fluid changed...almost done replacing bad rubber (car sat in the Miami sun for years). Also need to fix the sunroof that quit working recently (won't pull down to slide back, something is catching and the frame starts to pull away from the glass).

2009 GL 450
1) 2005 E320 4matic
2) 214,000 miles
3) Valve gasket cover changed recently
Will service transmission next week
Climate control valve
fog lights
tensioner pulley
Belts
right front CV axle last week
Front diff last year
Welded exhaust leak last year

I bought the car June 2013 at 113K, normal wear and tear. Small things replaced thru out. I'm happy with the car. It's a Uber and Lyft car, I get a lot of compliments. People can't believe it's 10 years old. I love it!

Been the caretaker for about two months. Lots of receipts from the previous owner the only unknown is the SBC. I rolled the dice, hoping the don't come up snake eyes.

In the last 4 months of my ownership

Airmatic compressor
Center speaker
4 Bulbs including the main beams
Powersteering fluid

The interior and exterior of the car is almost new, so I have spent a bit. Its now in almost showroom new condition.

167,000 miles - recently traded for 2015 E400
Engine and drive train were still flawless. Air suspension was starting to become flakey. Chicago winters, I would find the car collapsed and have to wait a few seconds before driving. Exceeded the lifecycle of the electrohydraulic braking system and had to repair around 140,000. Climate control servos started to fail about 160,000 - cost to repair was $1,800. Around 80,000 miles, I had a co-mingling of coolant and trans fluid due to a break in the trans line in the radiator. Had to have the torque converter replaced and a serious flush of the trans. I loved that car!!

2008 E320 Blutec
2008 e320 bluetec 185,000 miles and counting. Very keen on maintenance including regular 5000 mile proper oil changes, 40,000 mile transmission fluid changes and annual fuel filter, differential, brake fluid, Air filters, cabin filter, and the occasional accessory serpentine belt. In addition to this maintenance, brake pads and rotors as needed and recent new brake flex lines. Lots of other stuff including four windshields, egr valve and temp sensor, shocks, strut mounts, new front lower lateral suspension arms, motor mounts, flex discs, center drive shaft bearing and support, intercooler hoses, intake including airflow sensors, and both sun visors. Now looks like we need to replace the rear axle carrier bearings as they are making noise. Overall great car going to drive it to 300,000+ miles. Mike
