Hi, I'm new here...
I just installed the renntech lowering module, but it isn't low enough to my taste/liking. What do you guys suggest i do? Lowering links? Star lowering? Would I be able to lower my car via star, as well as having the lowering module? thanks in advance

Not slammed, but just lowered my w211 on links. Thinking I might go a little lower in the rear, but we'll see how I feel after a few days.
Wheels are oem 19" AMG IV's (excuse the dirt & low q pictures)

Alright guys who are lowered. I have an 09 e550 4matic, and the thing hydroplanes something fierce when lowered! I also have a hell of a time getting the car to keep from tramming or following the road. Little bit of side wind and the car is all over the place.

Anyone else having any issues like this? I have taken it to 3 separate shops for alignment and it never seems to help. Tires are new(er)

Im friggin stumped. It obviously has a bit of negative camber in it both front and rear when lowered.

i would think hydroplaning has more to do with your tread selection and not the height of the car

also make sure when the alignment is done that the caster is set correctly, i haven't driven my 211 in about a year but i believe it pulled to the right no matter how much in the green the alignment was, but you can correct it with a slight adjustment of caster on the passenger side. I believe that's a pretty common thing for all euros from what i have heard

how low is your car as well? are we talking a slight drop or a low drop, cause a lot of my advice may be irrevelant if it's only dropped a little

It doesnt hydroplane when its not lowered. its odd, I know.

The Programa V2 is set at 1.6" all the way around (remember, it is a 4matic, so they set higher to begin with)

“3 SEPARATE ALIGNMENT SHOPS”

Remember all they have to work with OEM....
is front and rear “TOE” adjustment !

For the front (only) – you can fit “slot bolts” – but they are inaccurate one only position providing only .3 of one degree (3mm – 1/8”).

We saw the need therefore to design/manufacture “precisely adjustable” front Camber and Caster kits with 4 times this adjustment range !

Similar kits also for the rear (with extra Toe adjustment as well – necessary to cater for this new rear Camber facility).

ALLOWING TO FIX IT RIGHT THE 1ST TIME – dialling in accurate (ongoing) adjustment to correctly resolve steering pull, altering suspension height, fitting wide profile tires or curb knock damage.

CHECKLIST:
1. K-MAC patented design – precise single wrench adjustment – on car/accurately (under load) direct on alignment rack (and no time consuming disassembly required each time)

2. Both front and rear kits – importantly to reduce excess negative Camber (and subsequent inner edge tire wear) – adjust the lower (not upper) arms inwards therefore still retaining clearance upper tire to outer fender.

Or TRACK DAYS – can adjust bottom of tires outwards to increase negative Camber (and track width) – therefore reducing understeer allowing to go deeper into the corners with improved traction and braking response in the pursuit of front row of the grid lap times!

3. Bonus is K-MAC kits replace at the same time – the 4 front and 4 rear highest wearing suspension bushings

4. Front bushes are designed - to eliminate the OEM oil filled/air voided bushes – yet still retain “2 axis” movement. Result is improved cornering and braking response (most aftermarket bushings simply delete the air voids – but this can cause binding/locking up of suspension arms – preventing travelling through their required arcs which can result in not less but increased wheel hop/loss of traction!

Kits are designed to simply replace existing bushings (no mods). Supplied with extraction/insertion tubes instructions and rear Camber can be fitted on vehicle.

NOTE: Black Series (W204, C209) Front “Strut” suspensions – NO upper wishbone – also manufacture “replacement” top strut mounts Camber and Caster adjustable.

W211
Front Camber and Caster kit..........#502216 $480
Rear Camber (and extra Toe) kit...#502526 $480

Current promotion for MB World members (USA/Canada) delivery $30 one kit or $40 front and rear.

PayPal, Visa or MasterCard (Toll free 1888 414 0762) or email sales@k-mac.com.

Yes, I'm aware of your products.. I'm fairly confident that they have not touched the rear toe. If I had to guess, this is where I'm going wrong. Yes there is some negative camber, but not enough that should effect the way the thing drives....
