I am getting bogus taillight warnings on my 2004 wagon. Some taillights are said to be off when they are actually on, and some (like the backup lights) are said to be on when they are in reality, on. I assume this is the SAM module. Where is this located in the W211 wagon? Is this the module in the tailgate?

The rear SAM is undercover on the drivers side luggage compartment rear wheel well !!
