Service E - DIY. Oil, brake fluid, battery (both) tests, and a whole lot of checks. Cleaned wheels inside and out while rotating the tires. Had it up on my work's service rack. Then I washed the rest of her.
Looks fantastic.

Out Of Control!!
New spark plugs at 128K miles. (28K late). Every one came out easy as could be.
Looks like they could have gone another 50K to 100K.
One plug had a little oil on the threads, but none I could see in the head, and tip had no extra carbon.
It was the plug closest to the oil filler, so maybe a drip or two from adding oil?

I was expecting those, and was happy not to have oily top plugs.
Fully thing was that this was coincidentally the last plug I pulled.
As soon as it broke loose, I knew something was different.
When I looked down the bore, there was no sign of oil, so whatever was there was very little and clean. (That is why I assumed a spill rather than a leak, but it could be a leak also.

I got bored of the command system and its limited features so I installed a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet and relocated the command head unit to the trunk.
I removed the factory gps dvd drive in the trunk and placed the command head unit there and hooked up the most fiber optic ring without the gps dvd drive in the ring. The command head unit is always in aux mode.
The nexus 7 is powered with a buck converter so there is no internal battery. All usb accessories are also powered with a buck converter. Nexus 7 turns on when I turn the key on and turns off when I turn the key off. Audio from the Nexus 7 is over usb to a behringer UM2 audio interface which allows for line level out and mic input. The behringer UM2 is located in the trunk next to the command head unit the audio output is hooked up to the aux input on the back of the command head unit. Sound quality is great even at high to max volume. USB extension cable ran to the center console for hooking up thumb drives or other usb accessories. All usb cables made out of SSTP cat5 cable I just bought 50 feet of cable and a bunch of usb male female ends from ebay and soldered it up didn't have to do this but I chose to.
The nexus 7 is running stock android 6.0.1 rooted with elementalx kernel. I use SDRtouch with a RTL2832U USB dongle in the trunk for radio which is actually pretty crappy right now I need to figure out which antenna I'm supposed to use for FM radio. GPS works great so far no problems with signal. I have google maps saved offline and if I need internet I hotspot my phone. The torque app works great and I also use Carly for Mercedes which can scan a lot of systems for codes both work with the OBD Link MX interface.
The only thing I have left to do is wire up the factory microphone or get an aftermarket one if the factory one sucks and find a way to improve the FM radio signal.
Here's a few pics I took with my phone during the install.

Air filters finally arrived.
The car was dealer maintained whole life and had service 1000 miles before I bought it, so I was hoping that my bad opinion about dealer service will not get another confirmation.
Waiting for oil test results to come.

One of my taillights was cracking up, missing a chunk of plastic & letting water in housing so swapped out for some LEDs I brought from a forum member here recently.
Swap was plug & play & brake lights look much brighter! I'm happy about that.
Before swap
After swap
Next on list is to see if I can make brake-lights do a quick pulse before lighting up like I see on motorcycles, ambulances, & fire trucks.
I would also like to upgrade to folding door mirrors & swap analog ACC control unit for digital in future.

This are not DRL. They have several names in different countries, but in US are commonly know as marker lights.
My 2003 come with yellowish bulbs and I replaced them with LED as well.
2008 has the white, matching the headlights, but I don't know if those are factory, or PO installed.

For steering wheel, I bought snap-on wood imitation covers, that match the wood on dash. They look good and I posted pictures in topic about it.
If you have money to burn, get wood steering wheel. I had it on couple of MB and they really stand up.
For seat, look on ebay for skin from passenger seat.
They are interchangeable on older models, at least the bottom.

Mine is an 07, P2, sport.
I think the lights are part of the sport package but could be the P2 package. (Maybe included with HID lights and curve illumination?)
08 could have been different.
