Help Please!-- W211 E500 Lowering
Before everyone kills me i researched the other lowering threads, and come to the conclusion that my situation is relatively unique... I have successfully completed STAR lowering (about .75 inch drop) and 3 washers on each side in the front (i think another .5 inch drop) but it doesnt seem to want to go lower. I had originally hoped for a 2" drop. Do i need to give in and buy lowering links? please help.

Someone that knows for sure can correct me if I'm wrong but I vaguely remember someone on this forum using washers alone and got their car pretty low. How many can you run while still being safe?

well after seeing that bolt and installing 3 washers, I'd say 3 is the max (the bolt head is sunken into the nut after you tighten it) I think I'm just going to go with ghostlinks from ghost motorsports
Btw I washer lowered after the star lowering so I'm not exactly sure what the washers do by themselves

what's the shop? I'm actually in the EB. I'm in contact with a MB tech in Sunnyvale who does the same for same price, but he also offers free SDS programming with the service. He also indicate he can modify the sensors to lower it more than just normal SDS. Gonna get it done soon, as I just got some new wheels/tires in today.

Autohaus...hmmm, noticed there are 3 different shops called Authohaus in Burlingame.
You may find that you might have to adjust using SDS after installing the links...to fine
tune it, according to the tech I talked to.

05 E500 4matic, 08 ML320CDI
Just FYI, I also lowered my '05 E500 4matic using links and then took the car in for alignment... 6 months later, all 4 tires were shot with the inners worn to the belts... I replaced the tires and had it aligned again... 6 months later, same result... *****ed to the alignment shop (MB Dealer) and they told me the rears aren't adjustable at all and the front only adjustable a few degrees, but not nearly enough to compensate for the 7-10 degree Camber change... They had no problem with charging me the full amount to what ended up being an inadequate front end alignment and it still wasn't to acceptable specs. The tires still wear badly and quickly and I get about 1/3 of their expected life... Make sure you have a plan for correcting the alignment or plan on replacing tires often, like every year or so... The options for alignment are limtied on these when lowered...

Lowering adjustment parts, severe tire wear
Subject an '05 E320 W211- With staggered AMG wheels, 18 x 8" and 9.5" with 245 40 and 275 35's. I have not lowered the car, (But want to), and all four tires are bare on the inside the rears are warn on the sidewall so the tire size is warn off after 25K miles.
I am reading that these W211 cars have no camber adjustment in the rear, is there an after market adjustment? Or part?
