How/where to install a 12V socket in the boot for a limousine W211

Hello everybody,

I would like to install a 12V socket in the boot of my limousine W211 (420CDI).

Can someone help to find information on the topic?

Is there any hole prepared, where is it installed usually by MB?

Any picture would help

In advance many thanks

Many thanks konigstiger for the info.
Do you know whether there is a hole prepared in the body or shall it be drilled?( which I would like to avoid)

Honestly, a much better location would be on the other side with the net basket area. If you put it there you can charge stuff and it won't slide around. As far as cutting a hole I really don't think a hole with power will kill your car value and will increase it's function a lot.

Hello, 50ae,

My concern about avoiding to drill a hole is to preserve corrosion protection that has been made at the factory.

That is totally understandable. I'd just drill it into the plastic liner if it were me.
