Dealership issue

I brought my car in for some warranty work when i got the car back i got inside started it and a ecp warning light was on, and the fuel and temp gauges were now solid instead of being dashes along with the cruise control light no longer worked. i went back inside and and talked to my service manager he signed a paper saying that the lights were not the same as when i brought them in. on my way home i noticed that the clock was not at the right time. i think the battery might of died at the dealership and they jump started it causeing something to malfunction or break or when the hooked up the scanner to scan the car it messed something up. does anyone know if it is possable to mess the car up if you jump start it, or maybe the scanner went into the car and maybe broke something? they offered to replace the gauges it would cost around 3000$ . is there anything i can do ?
