2007 e320 Blue tec, 05
what does fault code 2359-001 mean?
I have had an issue for some time with my 07 e320 blue tech. At highway speeds the check engine light comes on and the car looses power, ie press accerator and basically no pick up and minor rpm increase. I had the mass air flow filters changed some other minor stuff and this does seem to work. If i stop the car and turn of engine let it sit for a while restart and it runs find for a while engine light goes out, etc. Then in a few days the same thing happens again. the tech who is helping me said the fault code that came back was 2359-001 for ChexSystems charge pressure control, too low boost pressure and thinks it might be an egr value. before I spend more time and money with him want to see if anyone on the forum has had a similiar problem?

What is your VIN:
Without a VIN, the diagnosis is more difficult, however in your case, the 2359 suggests that the pressure being produced by your turbo was low for the driving conditions and you will notice a resultant loss in power, ie the resultant fault!!
Your turbo has a vane motor that adjusts the amount of boost air and the boost pressure sensor senses the pressure and sends a message to all and the CDI module reads that and makes all sorts of adjustments. Therefore is the boost pressure sensor faulty or is the turbo positioner motor faulty as both are apart of the boost.
I would fire the person who suggested replacing the two MAF sensors and ask for your money back and if this is the same person who suggested and issue with the EGR, then fire them both.
You need a person who has DAS Xentry or equal and who can read the car and the freeze frame actual value data at the time of the fault to better determine which sensor is faulty.
Then I would stick my head in the freezer section of your fridge for an hour to clear any thoughts of taking your Blue Tec to Cheap Charlie's and or Billy Bob again

I have had a check engine light on for a very long time.It did not bother me as the car was moving just fine. Then the car started loosing power and would not pick on demand. The mechanics changed intake manifold [right]. The check engine light was still on but the car was moving just great. The guys then told me that to erase the check engine light I would have to change another filter, the big one costing 1600/1700/. that was too much and as the car was running okay I did not bother. Now she is once again not picking up on demand and the new code is 2359 and 3148. I guess code 3006 was there earlier. Pleas tell me what are my options and what must I do the dealership are not in my budget for know.help

Driving with the check engine on for any length of time just because "it feels ok" is dumb.
Looks like you have had some minor problem that has now caused your DPF to clog.

I don't know who you are talking to, however something just doesn't sound all correct----FYI
3006=exhaust back pressure down stream of particulate filter
2359=there are two(-1) and (-2) either is a high or low charge pressure
in both case there are specific factory tests to locate the
problem--you either have a leak or you have a faulty turbo
positioner!
3148=particulate filter ash content to high---you are either using the
wrong oil or there is something wrong with the regen cycle. With
DAS Xentry in developer mode the tech can force regeneration and
burn the ash off and thereby taking the load off the filter.

2359 001fault code
My car loses power when i drive full throttle and the accelerator doesnt respond so the fault code above is the One causing things to frustrate. At first we chnaged the diseal particulate filter but not with the sensor. We didnt change the sensor only the exhaust pipe dpf. But the car didnt improve its still behaving the same. What can i do to regain the confidence of this car now cant drive for long before it cuts power
pliz help me specialistS. vin number WDD2210222A101322 the other fault codes are as follows

2359-1 says “Check the system ‘ Charge Pressure Control’ Too low boost pressure. What ever this means?. I have similar issue on the power.
