By the way the problem I had in Feb. 2014 was a fuel line problem. I think I had water in the fuel line. I did not change fuel filter. This winter car ran well.

Just replaced front brakes myself after 8+ years. Now bought rear brakes and will change them this weekend. It cost me $ 124 for front Canadian tire Wagner, and 128 for real MB made in Romania original brakes.

I replaced cam shaft position sensor in July 2013. Also replace spark plugs in Feb 2014 and cleaned throttle body. Replace air filters. I change oil every year as I drive 15K per year. I know my car and you tube gives lots of info. Thanks,

Sorry about not posting the results. Yes, this was a year ago. It turned out that I was correct and the fuel pump had died. Unfortunately, the relays had been updated so you also needed those parts. Total bill for parts and labor came out to $1,500. Car was back on the road, a couple of days after. I drove it for another 6 months, then we replaced it with a 2015 GLK350 which is now the wife's car. I'm now driving the E-class wagon. It's a great car that's turned out to be very reliable so far, and so practical with that extra space.
