2005 E320 4matic wagon. 172,000kms (106,875miles) Runs like a top.
Only issues with it right now are; the air suspension compressor is noisy but works fine; need the SRS harness repaired in the steering column.
I have 370,000kms on my ML320 when I sold. It still ran like a top also.

2003 E500 Benz & 2015 BMW M235ix
As indicated in my signature data, my 2003 E500 just hit 159,000 and still running strong. I've had the usual repairs from wear and tear such as one front air shock, the Glycol transmission contamination which required a new transmission torque converter and radiator (warranty covered), serpentine pulley and belt, windshield sensor for dashboard dimming (warranty), leaking right value cover seal (three years ago) but just told right valve cover seal is leaking, and the main seal has been leaking a little for the last few years but not enough for me to pay big bucks to have it replaced so far. Don't understand why they can't make cars with a Main Seal that doesn't eventually leak......our Volvo 850 had the same problem.

160,000 miles, just wear items; including the fuel pump and sending unit. Just replaced my first set or rear brakes and rotors. The wear indicator hadn't gone off yet but I was getting antsy to finally get new rear brakes installed :-)

Bilstein engine mount $18.63 (assuming correct chassis) http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200...ion_mount.html
Hate to see people pay dealer prices for this stuff...

okay i see what you are saying... Are those the manufactures we get our parts from??? I have never actually looked at a manufacture on the engine/ball joints. How can you tell?

Right! Partsgeek will usually identify the OE Manufacturer by putting OEM on the listing for particular parts, but also there are some places that list them. Lemfoerder makes a lot of that kind of stuff for MB, as does Febi/Bilstein. The suspension stuff like shocks and struts is all Bilstein across many models, etc. Jurid/Pagid make the brake hardware, as does Textar on some models. I think there is a site out there that lists the OE manufacturers for various specific parts on specific models, but I'm having trouble putting my finger on it. I will post again if I find it. Also, I will bet you get amazing prices from your employer, but you can always check the specific part number at Huskerparts.com, a Mercedes dealer in Nebraska that sells online at amazing prices.

I've ordered from husker and autohausaz A LOT! Although Mercedes-Benz do not actually produce the specific part, they are made to slightly different specifications when the MB logo is stamped on them.
Case in point: I ordered the OEM tensioner for my W211 and found it to be a bit rough looking. I decided to go with Original Mercedes (since it had originally lasted over 100k it was easy to justify the added cost for another 100k), this part was much "prettier" and overall looked like higher quality fit and finish.
The same went with OEM for BMW control arm bushings I purchased a couple years ago versus Original MB ones this year. Both are said to be the same manufacturer but the difference in appearance was night and day.

Mine just turned a few months ago. I bought it with 96K miles. I purchased the most expensive, inclusive aftermarket warranty I could get, so I'm almost hoping for more warranty items to occur so I can justify the expense So far, it has been serviced once, and the axle shaft needed to be replaced, about $750 at my indy.

I definitely considered that. I suppose it may make sense for a once in a while visit to diagnose and address multiple warranty issues, but for normal maintenance:
1. I will end up paying 50-100% more for normal maintenance which is not covered by warranty.
2. I like and trust my indy. They are very capable, have great customer service, are fast and I want to give them my business.
3. The local Mercedes service center in my area gets abysmal user reviews.
I also discussed this with a friend who has been a service manager for multiple European dealerships and indies. He's recently retired, but has a lot of experience with most aspects of the industry. His recommendation was 100% to go with the indy.

There may be some of that. But there's also lots of customers service complaints. http://www.yelp.com/biz/mercedes-ben...es+benz+repair

I have 135000 and have done routine stuff, like brakes, rotors and upper control arm. I have bought but not installed some camber bolts to allow more adjustment at the advice of the last guy who aligned it. Did not plan to keep the car more than 5 years, bought in 2009, but I can not justify it since it's been very reliable.
