Doe anyone know where the drain is located for the compartment that holds the auxiliary battery. When I removed the aux battery to replace it, I found water puddled under it.

How the heck did water work its way into that compartment?

There is a vent in the hood and there is nothing on the underside of the vent to divert rain away from the engine compartment.

The drain empties into the passenger fender well.

I just cleaned mine today. It was packed with dirt!!

Jack passenger side up
Take passenger front wheel off
Remove the inner front fender liner. You only have to remove the rear part of the liner.
The drain is black and shaped like a triangle. 2 10mm bolts and out it comes.

Wash out the inside of the drain vent. Can also pour some water very carefully down past the windshield wiper tank from the hood to help flush any dirt or debris out. Careful not to splash any water on the battery.

Wouldn't it have been easier to clean it out from inside the engine compartment ?

You could. Not quite sure what you have to remove other than the cabin air filter box

I had my liner taken out to fix my leaking windshield wiper tank and noticed it then.
