2003 S 500 4 MATIC , 2001 S 430 , 2003 ML 500
2004 E 320 LOWER BALL JOINTS ANY TIPS ? PLEASE & THANKS
Just did replaced the lower control arms on my friends e 320 last week now he want me to do the lower ball joints looks like they might be interchangeable unlike the ones on the control arms witch is cool
Has any one done this job before I have the ball joint press handy and all the other tool I think I will be needing any directions and tips will be greatly appreciated thanks !

You can either take the whole hub off and do it on the floor/in a vice.
Or undo thrust arm ball joint, remove calliper and that is enough room to remove lower ball joint once u have undone lower ball joint.

Very simple job. I did it two weeks ago. No need to remove the caliper, I didn't even remove the speed sensors but that is just me, you could brake them easily if you are not careful.

Yes it was a fairly simple job , once I located the right ball joint tool
like you said I jusr removed the calipler and hung it up had to disconnect upper control arm so the I could get enough room to get the impact gun on it . any waus drivers side is done the boot was deffinatley torn he wants passenger side done as well evan though the boot is in tact , so after that is out of the way I will have to check the ball joints on my s class because im still hearing a ball joint noise and ive replaced upper & lower control arms
