will these rims fit?
ok so im looking to buy these rims:
they have a offset of 42mm and on various sites they say they will fit but tirerack also carries these rims and shows it will not fit. My question is will 18x8 w/ 42mm offset (all around) fit the w211 4matic?

At 42mm you should be fine you may get a little tire poke at that offset but with 18s it shouldn't rub or anything at stock ride height, and I know it's your car and your choice of style but I think KMC Rockstars are a little more for the Ford Truck boys...
A similar but much better style (again this is all my opinion it's not my car but I think you'll probably feel better in the end about not choosing such a generic Pepboys wheel) at a cheap price are the Niche Verona M151, perhaps you could find them in black or get them professionally painted: http://tirecrazy.com/wheels/niche/ve...Fe5aMgodWzsAoA
or even the black M154s at the bottom of this page http://www.mhtwheels.com/mht-luxury-alloy-wheels.cfm?id=622 or in the related search
Idk just ideas, welcome to the forums by the way. Whatever you end up choosing you should post some pics!

^+1 on AMG's advice regarding the style of wheels.
Also, correct me if wrong, but 42mm means its more flushed inside the fender right? I have 40mm on my rear and looking at changing my wheels, saw a style i like but only comes in 35mm. and the guy said it will stick out more so it might rub on my fender as the 40mm is just right.

I think it all depends on the design of the wheel and whether or not it's a positive or negative offset he's looking at. With a high negative offset it's more flushed to the inside of the fender and with a high positive offset it's pushed towards the outside, and thus the wheel poke. I'm pretty sure mine have +38mm offsets and they do poke a little. Think of a high negative offset as a deep dish rim.

Ya I think you guys are right...I just like the clean look of the 5 spoke wheels, but those rims are more for rice rocket cars and may look odd on our classy 211 body huh?
The issue I have is I live in Alaska so buying rims locally is almost 2 times more expensive and no one will ship rims to me without tacking on an extra 200 to 600+ for shipping. since I have Amazon prime they will actually ship them to me for free which is an amazing deal haha. What do you guys think about these ones:

I think you summed it up perfectly there! I like those a lot, sort of reminiscent of Forgestars or iForged wheels, definitely look a lot more expensive than they are. Plus at a 32mm offset you should be just fine. I'd get Mercedes center caps with that if you can find some and you'll be good to go!

HA! ebay is even worse for shipping to Alaska....even if they put continental united states they exclude Alaska or pm me back saying alaska is not part of the continental US, which is retarded because we are on the same continent. People think contiguous and continental mean the same thing.
But good lookout on those amg wheels i just pmed the guy. Thanks!

Chop them up into little pieces and send them through USPS flatrate boxes. Or alternatively make ice casts of them and ship them that way, all he receives is a wet box.
