Hello, I just sold my 03 SL500 and purchased my new E55 !
I owned my 03 SL500 for over 3 years but when I saw The RED 2005 E55 AMG for sale I loved it so I took it for a test drive and right there in then I just had to sell my R230 5.0, wow I love that supercharge 5.5 AMG engine !!!!

You traded in your sexy girlfriend for the hot mom next door? All kidding aside, what was your motivation for change?
I test drove an SL600 and was blown away by the torque. I has Mrs. H sold on picking it up by offering to sell three cars (I have six) - that is until she found out it was a two seater. Instead, I sold my NA E55 and picked up an E550 (and still have six cars ).
I still keep my eye on SL65 and SL55 prices (the SL55 would have far lower maintenance costs). But honestly, the E550 has been a dream to drive (and 27.0 MPG average) even if it doesn't have the same pizzaz as an SL. Enjoy your new ride.

Not only The power of The AMG 5.5 motor compared to the 5.0 engine on the R230 is like night and day... The SL is to camp Up no space its only a 2 seater and I can't drive it with my wife and kids !!! Not to mention the high cost of maintenance of The ABC hydraulic fluids for suspension That cost $20 a liter, and it take about 9 liters to fill and need to be flush more Frequently if not The very expensive valve blocks get damages cause the suspension to drop.
