Hay. I have a w211 facelift edition, with a 4 keys gate opener included the interior rearview. And i can't find any of tutorial how can programming the 4 keys gate opener. Everywhere just found the 3 keys opener, but i have 4 buttons under my interior rearview.
So anyone have some info about that?

As i said, i have got that version of the gate opener interior rearview, that have 4 buttons on middle bottom. And hasn't got indicator lamp there. And thats it the bulided, original, ligth dimming rearview, not 3th party stuff.

Did you buy the car new?
Are you sure it is OEM and not aftermarket (even if it came form a dealer)?
Where are you (as different regions get different options)?

Oky, the first button rubber is broken, but still work properly, and if needed i can push in.

The car is in Hungary, but i think it is an German import (i'm sure the car is imported, but i don't know exactly where).

Interesting what i would do is use the 3 button instructions and obviously when it says hold 1 and 3 hold 1 and 4 and see what happens.

Find any available part numbers on the mirror and start googling.


I would also look for a hole or anything that might be the programming button.

Press and hold a button untill it does something different (not that you'll know without an indicator). Try this in different key positions.

I program mine to know what type of signal to send out, then I program my door(s) to accept it. Lots of systems use the same signal type so a single button on mine opens several different doors that have been programmed to accept it (not at the same location). Yours might only send a single type of signal and your door will either accept it or not.

From the third picture it appears that if you can peel back the white sticker you might be able to see who made the mirror and get some information from there.

Why not call up your local MB dealer and see if they know or see if you can borrow a owners manual if they still use the 4 button ones.
