ANNOYED AF
Hello friends, so ive had this "problem" for awhile and i remember reading a thread with the same problem being described but i cant find it
so here's my problem: While driving 40-60mph i hear this "noise" like a "vwhem vwhem vwhem vwhem vwhem" i thought it was my rear brakes so when i got them changed i thought it would go bye bye but its still there, anyone have any idea what it could be?

Does it do it only going straight or also when turning a bit? Mine had what I'll describe as a resonance at 50MPH, but only when going straight. Alligments and tires made this less and less pronounced.

Yeah straight, left right lol I think it's like you said, tires and alignment

Alignment is not so easy
Misalignment can definitely cause tire wear problems that results in weird noises. Rub your hand back and forth across the tread and feel for scalloping or sawtooth wear.
If you need to align your car, good luck. Toe, front and rear is not so bad. Camber in front has one option, swap the control arm bolt for a positive move bolt and hope that gets you far enough. However, if your rear camber is out, and who's isn't, MB claims that you must have wrecked your car and you need to trade it in.
I would like to measure the rear camber on new cars on the lot. I bet they are close to the end of the spec.
My car eats inside shoulders and there is no MB solution. I hate to buy cheap hot rod parts to fix it but may end up there. My brothers BMW has the same problem and also eats tire shoulders.

My car does the same thing... it's definitely the tire... let me know what you find al00sh. I've also read this can cause some vibration at speeds which I'm getting but I'm not sure if that's a bent wheel or not. So many questions

Have your wheels checked for true. I had a vibration and checked all the suspension parts - finally as a last resort I found a bent wheel as the problem. It seems the Wife aims for potholes.

Same with me lol, quarter is starting again and all. I don't have any uneven tire wear and recently had an alignment but it's been more of a chronic annoyance more than a major issue. I'm sure no one besides me that rides in the car notices but I do get that chopping/resonance noise.

Best way to find out is rotate your tires and see if vhem vhem moves with it. It didnt on mine so I knew it wasn't the tires. Alignment don't make your wheel make noise but only cause car to go left or right if steering is let loose and also cause damage to tires.
