Help!! Car wont start
Hi all.. This is my first post on MBworld and I own a 2005 e320 CDI. I bought it with 60k miles and it now has 120k and I love it! Best car Ive owned so far.
So here is the problem,
My car completely shut off today, I couldnt even unlock the door using the key fob. Once I opened the car using the key, everything was dead inside and the car would not start.
Immediately, I popped open the trunk and jump started my car and everything was good. Since The battery was 4 years old, I thought it was time for a replacement. I took that one out and replaced it with a BOSCH battery. After installing it I go back to my car and a large RED sign pops up saying, "reduced braking power start engine" and the Car is not starting now.
Please HELP! I dont know what to do from here.

Out Of Control!!
Look at the post just below yours---your system is complicated two batteries a control unit and alternator and a voltage regulator, plus is your message red or white??
You need to have someone who knows the system, test the system!!
Alternatively start throwing parts at the car, everything needs to be replaced one day, I guess!!

Start with having both batteries tested. (any good mechanic and many auto parts stores can test batteries).
Replace if bad, charge if good.
After you KNOW both batteries are good and charged, see what the symptoms are.
If all is not well, you need to have the Alternator and battery control system checked by someone VERY familiar with MBs.

Yes I have tired disconnecting the battery and still nothing.
I also noticed I can Unlock/Lock my Benz from the remote but the trunk does not pop open.
Once I get off work today, I will buy a battery tester from a local auto parts store and test both batteries out.
Also The message pops up in RED.
Thanks for your input, any other help is highly appreciated.

For your MY a red message means=the charge level of the battery is very low(backup is less than 10.5V or the battery control module is shorted----remember you need factory or equal diagnostic equipment to test any and alll control modules.
