Rear motorized sun shade inoperable-help please.

I have a 2009 E350. The rear sun shade will not go up. I can hear a slight tick sound when I hit the button. Checked all fuses - they are good. I crawled in the trunk but did not see an access point to the motor. I did not find any helpful info doing a search.
How do I get to the motor?

I had a similar issue with mine if the car stood in the sun a long time or if shades were not used for weeks at a time. If you tug at the shades they start moving next time you activate the switch. A final and permanent cure was spraying a light lubricant on two hinge points on each side, one in the middle where it folds up and the hidden second one, accessible from the trunk, you just have to feel it out; it has been working perfect since. I did not dismantle anything. The trick is in using the spray, pointing it directly at the hinges without spraying all over the upholstery, I managed fine.

I never use mine either and just had the same problem. Try to pull on it and jiggle it, then use the button. I'm sure the lubricant is all dried out and baked.

Mine works again.

I have a 2009 Mercedes E350.the sunshade would not go up . I took your advice and used lubricant on the hinges, jiggled the shade as my wife pushed the control and it worked. I do not use it much. From now on I will exercise it more often . Thank you so very much for the advice
