For those who have lowered a bit with 19s..hows the ride?
I just got a 2004 E320 (not 4matic). I plan to put some 19's on it and have it lowered a bit (i.e. not slammed) either with springs or coilovers. So my question is how is the ride? Of course I dont expect it to be cushy like it is now with the stock 16's but I dont want to be too harsh either.
My other car, an Audi s5 is lowered with coilovers on 20s and I find the ride fine here in Socal. The car is not slammed at all, it just has what I find to be a nice, classy drop with about 3/4" gap between fender and tire.
Here is a pic:

I have an 08 350 with 19s but it's not lowered yet. H&Rs will be on tomorrow but the ride quality for that will depend on what you go with suspension wise. I have 245/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear and I haven't lost any ride quality with those. The h&r had good reviews from people that I've spoken with so hopefully that's the case.

I'm lowered a fair amount on 19" wheels and the ride is fine. I have no gap. The fender/quarter panel sit right on the tire. It's slightly bumpier, but not a substantial amount.

I lowered as far as I could go however completely replaced my suspension with Bilstein iRC; drive is awesome, since damping is 100% configurable (even in real time while driving). Check my signature for details and email me with any questions.

After being too busy at work to free a tech up I finally got time to get my springs installed and love it. Just dropped enough to take up the gap and have noticed no difference in ride quality. The wheels are 19x8.5 and 9.5 with I believe 35 offset.
