mb eclass 350 4 matik
Oil leak Below air filters and front driver sode

hi every one i a new owner of a e 350 4matik last night i removed the front cover of the engine and the and the air filter housing to and i noticed an oil leak in the top of the engine and also on the driver side on the front of the engine Where the oil filter is. There are like 3 plugs.
Any idea why and what is the repair or the costs? Please help.

It would be easier to comment if we knew where you were located, like in South Africa or in San Francisco, CA which would make an estimate for repairs more accurate. That being said, it sounds like you have an oil leak from top engine cover gaskets. Mine are starting to do that, and recently I got an estimate of $500 from a local MB shop. In your case, you need to take it in and have it inspected. An oil leak dripping on exhaust pipes is not safe too.

I al located in New York i am gonna send the car today to be checked and will post later with the results again thank you for replaying so fast.

Sometimes the cam plugs leak, and I am wondering if that is part of what you are looking at. Their replacement is not a big ticket item.
