Windshield Wipers Squeaking

I have had to use my wipers more often over the past couple of weeks due to rain

But problem I noticed is that wipers are making a squeaky noise and it sometimes appears like they are "jumping" over the windshield. These wipers are Bosch and I have had on for 9 months. I garage my car so they are not exposed to sun and we have a parking structure at work, so car does not get exposed to elements much. A neighbor suggested that I wax my windshield, but I'm sure about that solution. Any ideas how to get rid of this squeaking problem.

New wipers? They're not supposed to last forever. 9 months isn't too bad. Not all Bosch are the same. I got a cheap set of Bosch Clear Advantage, doesn't always do the edges and sometimes streaks in the middle on the right side. I think OE might have been the Aerotwin which comes in a two pack.

Had the same issue. Decided to cough up a few extra bucks for OE. Now they glide across the glass like butter on a hot knife.

Current wipers are Bosch 4826 Evolution All-Season. So, may have to change them to OE.

This seems to be a chronic problem and I've had the same complaint through 12 years of MB cars. The wipers are expensive and only last about 6 months. I suggest you buy some good quality not-OEM replacements and install them yourself. If you're not familiar with the procedure take them to a dealer and ask a service advisor to show you how to change them. MB service is the best and they should be happy to show you some courtesy.
