Is it anyone here who know about some website who is selling cheap headlamps to 2004 model E-class? With Bi-xenon and whit cornering lights.
Here in Norway they take about $2000 for ONE lamp...

Good price on this one, but it stand in the description "PLEASE NOTE: THIS FITS ON WITH FACTORY XENON and WITHOUT AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHT SYSTEM) MODELS ONLY!!"
So i guess it will not fit on my car then, since i have AFS/cornering lights?
Haven`t found any headlamps on ebay yet, with AFS.
Have almost non light on my car (driving light), anyone who have some tips? What is the chance that the reflector is burned? Can it be the lenses that are broken? Saw someone in here who change the lenses, and got better lights.
The Xenon lights on the W212 have a defect where a V gets etched into them. It's $4500 in parts to replace both lights most are covered under warranty. What is wrong with yours?

Just very poor light. If I run in the evenings it is barely there is light above the car, and when I meet other cars , I see simply nothing..
The headlights are a little math , but have refurbished the down, so now they are pretty decent. Do not think this has anything with the light to do, so think it's the reflectors or lenses that do. Have new Xenonbulb in them.
Where did you get the bulbs? There's a lot of fakes out there and one problem with the fakes is that the lights aren't very bright. I'm pretty happy with my bi-xenon, I think they're still original but they're way brighter than halogen's in my other car.

right now just something cheap bulbs , has been in that thought too. Before I had philips 8000K and thought it was the bulbs that were poor, and then began thinking relfectors or lenses. Do you have the facelift? I read something about it was much better lights on the facelift than the pre-face..

Never really heard of the reflectors going bad but I suppose it's possible or the design isn't quite there, sometimes just the ballast goes bad. And of course the fakes aren't as good either, those would be the $10-$20 bulbs you can get on eBay.

Yes, I have the facelift. Also 8000k isn't brighter, it's a got a bluer tint to it. Stock is 4300k and in terms of lumens, more than 8000k bulbs.

i believe the lower the kelvin temp the lower the lumens, the color shift comes from where the temp sits on the color spectrum, and the higher the temp the farther it goes out of our visible spectrum. so higher temp gives the allusion of being less bright when it's not.. the visibility sweet spot is around the 4K (4.3) though that's why that is the oem baseline

they do offer those same after market face lift headlight for halogen cars as well, or you could always purchase another HID kit and instal it in your high beams. my 211 has 3 kits installed, hi beam, lo beam, and fog lights.

According to several sites, the higher the color temperature, the lower the lumens.
Got my new Osram bulb today, and have changed them. Changed first on one side to see the different (in daylight, on snow). On the pic below you can see the new Osram bulb on the right side, and the old cheapbulb on the left side. I did see big different between these bulb! You can see the Osram on the brightess spot to right, and the other bulb on the left side. So now i only waiting to be dark outside, to test them

Asked my service guy twice about the "v" in the lens. He had no idea. Any other info on this? Is it just cosmetic? My car is 2011 but CPO.
