w211 Oil Filter Cap Housing snapped in half?!?
I bought the correct Mann oil filter and went to put it on today, when I opened the cap to pull the oil filter housing / assembly out it wiggled, so I pulled the old oil filter off and it was snapped where the skeleton or honeycomb part is. I put on my new oill filter, but is the car ok to drive until I can buy and get the replacement?

I would not drive it until you get the new part. The break could cause low oil pressure or lack of proper filtering.

Personally I wouldn't risk it because if some are brittle it would be really bad if something broke off and got loose in the oil system. The inside is the filtered oil which means it could go through anything and everything.
That said I am sure you cleaned it up and it would probably be find but I am overly cautious with stuff like this.

Dealer might not be so bad price wise and much quicker obviously.

so, i they use the same one for the w210 and some other vehicles. I went to pull and pay and got a new one for $3. But my car is throwing p0175 p0172. New air filters maybe? THis happened after the oil change.
