Help on a Friday !!
Hello everyone, need some help, I did a search nothing helpful to this issue/codes.
Vehicle 2006 E350 4Matic 79,238 Miles
"ESP Malfunction visit workshop" did some search on here replaced the brake switch as others on here suggested still have the issue.
My car seems goes into limp mode no power at the wheels, picks up very slow, if I shut if off and on goes away comes back on right away or later on.
Getting Code P2127 which is -" Check potentiometer of component B37 ( Accelerator Pedal Sensor ) Hall Sensor 2 : Short Circuit to Ground or open circuit
Also Code P2138 - The Values from the position sensors of the accelerator pedal implausible in relation of each other
P2138 B37 - (Accelerator pedal sensor ) Voltage of Hall Sensor 1 does not agree with voltage of hall sensor
Thank You in advanced

Since all codes are pointing to accelerator pedal sensor, first I would check connector of the pedal sensor. Remove bolt under pedal, draw pedal out slightly and disconnect the plug. If no corrosion and contacts look good, it probably is sensor itself. It's not sold separately, you'll need to buy whole pedal assembly, but I think second hand pedal would do (check the part number when you have pedal out).
Why I'm suggesting second hand pedal, is because I changed mine while ago. And I can buy 3 used pedals at price of the one new, and sensor fault is not so common. My fault code was different but I got EML occasionally when kicked down.

ok I replaced the pedal worked fine for two days then again same issue/ codes. trying avoid the dealership trip.
-replaced brake switch , still the same issue
-replaced the pedal worked for two days then same issue, when the issue about to kick in it reves higher on its own.
anyone had these codes and fixed the issue them self or when visiting the dealership

Out Of Control!!
The bad news is that the defective part is not the pedal assy but the sensor which is located under the dash---do youself a huge favor and understand your limitations---I know divorce and no job and kids with grandma are tough, but go to a shop that knows what they are doing!!

OP: All codes returned? Are you sure there is no some stupid accelerator boost module installed... with star diagnose you would be able to see actual pedal position fed to the ecu...
