w211 220cdi gearbox problems

I have w211 220 cdi from 2008, with 412km on the speedometer, and i have problems with the gearbox, it wont change gear when the car is cold,i need to shift the gear manualy, and when its getting warm,"90degres" it will shift better, but still a bit funny, it has had the gearbox flushed,"said the last owner", 3months ago,and sometimes is smells burned.hope someone can help me here
are there any temp sensors on the gear box that can be faulty?

There are a host of things that could be faulty. Suggest the next step is to get the codes read. If you're lucky, the work needed will be limited to the valve body. In my experience cold operation differing from warm operation was due to issues in the lock up mechanism in the torque converter. That said my shifting issues seemed to be harsh shifting when cold. Upon further examination, the harsh shifting was actually harsh lock mechanism engagement and disengagement. I ended up getting some work done to the valve body and getting the torque converter rebuilt with sonnax updates. The rest of the trans was fine. All good now. I had considerably less mileage than you, 100k.

Oh and the burning smell could be the lock up mechanism clutch plates being ground due to non engagement. I wouldn't screw around on this one. Be sure to post back your findings.
