I would assume that you will be putting 9.5 width with +45 offset on the rear. For a proper and better fitment, you might need a pair of 10mm wheel spacers.

And also to find out the lug bolts correct size if you are just putting 10mm spacers, just take off one your bolts and measure the shank length and add 10mm on top of that (since you will be putting 10mm wheel spacers).

All W211 uses 14x1.5 bolts
MB OEM wheels - ball type bolts
Most aftermarket wheels - conical type bolts

Hopefully this would help....and yes to your question but you must put atleast 10mm wheel spacers.

Thanks.

Yes, the 9.5 with the 46 off set would gin in the rear.

I test mounted the front and it looked really close/tight to the control arm strud, so spacers are definitely a must.

Can anyone confirm that it WILL work with spacers and longer bolts?

Anyone have experience with spacers, will they work well or will they sacrafice ride quality?

Thanks in advance.

Just letting everyone know that I took the E320 to a reputable tuning shop and the front wheels went on with a 10mm spacer, the rear went on without spacer.
Changed the tire size in the front to 235/40/18 instead of 245/40/18, Rear is 255/35/18, rather than the originally planned 265/35/18.

Will pick the car up tomorrow and am pretty excited about how it will look.

S CLASS AMG WHEELS WILL FIT!!!!!!!

Just to clarify ONCE and for ALL: The S-Class AMG wheels will fit the W211!!!!!

My rims are 18x8.5 front with an ET of 44. I installed a 10mm hub centric spacer and 235/40R18 tires. The Spacer is a MUST or the wheel will hit the control arm linkage.

Rear is 18x9.5 with ET 46, NO Spacer needed and I installed 255/35/R18 tires.

Longer bolts are needed front and back.

Tires are TOYO Proxes and I could not be happier. Car drives and handles like a dream and there is NO rubbing whatsoever.

That would be correct, this is why you need to put the 10 mm spacer there in order to create a bit more clearance.

Some more pictures, ...........

have you thought about maybe putting lowering springs in the car or going back to a larger profile tire to fill the gap?

i run a 10mm spacer in front as well

YES, I have thought about it and the answer is NO.

This is a Mercedes, my daily driver as well as a family car so I will not lower it as I do like the comfy ride and do not want any rubbing issues once the car is fully loaded.

And, ......... I think it looks good just the way it sits.

lol i am well aware it is a mercedes

if you put lower springs in the car it will actually ride better and handle better. i'd put good money that you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference if you put springs in it, besides the positive. you are at stock ride height you aren't going to have rubbing issues

after springs

Thanks.

The work was done at a reputable tuning shop in Sacramento and the car has received over 1200 "Likes" on their webpage.

+1 on lowering springs. and probably 5-10mm spacer at the rear as well. somehow i see that the fronts are sticking out a bit more than the rear. on lowering springs, crafty is right, it will ride better and handle better, no rubbing whatsover. looks good now, will look better with lowering and rear spacer. when you do, you might double the number of "likes" on their webpage!

lol what work? you put previous gen wheels on your car.

honestly, i didn't come in here to criticize your taste it was just a thought. no one is holding a gun to your head but when you come out talking "this is a Mercedes" talk, you automatically lose respect in my book. Just because you have a star on the hood of your car doesn't mean it's god's gift to you. News flash this is a Mercedes forum, we all own them.

It's attitudes like these that make me leave every time i poke my head back in these forums. Mercedes owners who think they are so entitled because of the star, and if you measure the success of your car by counting all of your 1,084 likes on Instagram because a well known shop shouted you out for overpaying for some tires... lol then i think that is all i need to know.

Enjoy the car

Quite frankly, I do not need "your respect", so don't worry about it.

I did not think you did criticize me, but your latest post is a bit over board. You may want to consider leaving the forum again, my feelings will not be hurt.

Yes, it is a Mercedes and previous gen wheels made by AMG will still look better any day in comparrison to what looks like a Honda Accord.

I will enjoy my car, even with your snooty remarks. And I know where Stuttgart Sindelfingen is, as I grew up there and am proud to own a Mercedes, you on the other hand may not even find it on the map when looking for it.
