E220 cdi facelift gearbox woes... Help please
Hi all...
W211 e220 cdi 2007 facelift...
Since i bought the car its always been slow on moving off from stationary.
Put foot down on accelerator and it would creep forward for a second, after few meters it would move off as normal and rocket off... No issues with turbo at all smooth gear changes no fault codes as well had it scanned with STAR.
ONLY THING FOUND ON STAR WAS... on picture i have attached stating that under SOLENOID VALVES= STATUS OF SHIFT VALVES 3-4. Thats it.
Any info would be appreciated

Are you sure its just not the throttle lag and turbo lag?
If you haven't driven another 07 e220 cdi I would to compare.
I would reset the transmission adaptations and see what that does also don't forget to service it every 39k miles

I have not driven another E220 cdi i have to say...
Dont know anyone who has one....
I dont think its throttle lag as its weird... i mean when im on a hill... i would put pedal to floor and it would creep for a few meters..... then when turbo kicks in.. im off.
I have reset adaptations...
But im asking about the Solenoid Valve position stating 3-4. should it not be 1-2?

You don't have to know someone just test drive one!
You have a 7 speed right?

Are you sure that the owner of the diagnostic equipment has any idea what he/she/gblt is doing------you say your issues are with 1-2 what are you doing looking at the actual values for 3-4 and was anybody intuitive enough to double click on the value or look to WIS to see if the values are within spec.
PS---you see that little blue i in one of the values---take a good guess what that may mean!!!

If his friend knows how to use DAS Xentry he would have known the fluid level based on the first hook up!!
FYI the OP wants to know what the screen shot means--he was told what they mean(actual values) days ago therefore it is very possible that he does not understand very basic metric measurements definitions--as an example mbar or mA---what do they mean----- one is electrical and the other pressure
Then he will not accept the fact that the actual values have to be compared with the design goal values to establish if the solenoid is faulty---to do that he has to go to WIS and compare the actual data with the design data----are they in spec???
