Looking for good source for shocks
Hi all,
I have spent an enormous amount of effort trying to find a good source to buy shocks for my 2005 E320 wagon. Part# 2113264100
The best price and shipping is from parts.com, but they won't ship to Canada.
Other US sources cost more for parts and shipping.
In Canada, the only place to get them seems to be the dealer, and they want $240 each.
These should only cost about $50 - $75 each.
Remember, these are just plain old shocks - no airmatic. No aftermarket companies seem to have a cross-reference for this one either.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone has specs and dimensions for them, I could take that to a shock supplier and probably find a match.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Where in Canada are you located?
Never mind I stalked you if you are where I think you are just take a USA trip! I drove my w211 up there from the USA last summer and had a blast its not like its that far.
That said looking up the PN at all my go to places I found it goes for $140-180 USD

It takes about 3 hours to get to the US from here. With the cost of gas it seems hardly worth it to save such a small amount.
$180USD is equal to $224CAD right now, so when you factor in the cost of gas or shipping, there's no savings there.
Parts.com was $140USD each and only $30 shipping - that seemed worthwhile until I got to the checkout and they would neither ship to nor accept payment from Canada.
It's beginning to look like the dealer is my best option.

I heard that many US places won't ship to Canada because of some fees that get added on through customs or something?
Yeah 3 hours unless you are looking for an adventure (I am always looking for one lol) is kind of far for a set of shocks... I did drive 3 1/2 hours one way to meet up with another MBworld member as he was giving away a free AMG w203 sway bar lol

@%Khan-ada^ is becoming somewhat of a federal camp with extremist views and with no options for parts
The US is infinity in debt and our dollar is kept usually 10 to 15 % lower for this exact reason.
The dealer will give 20% on parts or labour if your car has ever been to the dealer for service.
An upper ball joint still topped out at over a 100 after tax at the parts counter recently
If you post a loophole you found, The source you found will be gone in a matter of months , That really is how fast the place is working against us
Seems improbable I know, But I do know the reality here
The place has changed, The place has really feckin changed, The place ...

Another option would be to source parts from an Indy and have them install
There is an Indy that no one can match for price I use often
But they are an hour from you
